What Is Skillz?
Skillz is a publicly traded (NASDAQ: SKLZ) mobile esports platform that’s been running since 2012. It hosts skill-based tournaments across a lineup of casual games — Blackout Bingo, Dominoes Gold, Big Buck Hunter, and Solitaire among them — where you compete head-to-head or in brackets for cash prizes. At last check, the platform said it awards roughly $2 million in real cash and prizes weekly across its tournaments.
You don’t have to play for money to use the app — every Skillz game is free to download, and you can compete for virtual currency and tickets instead of cash if you’d rather skip entry fees entirely. The real-cash tournaments are opt-in, not the only way to play.

At last check via our own Skillz link, the code CTWQM was live and tied to a $10 bonus on your first deposit — not a no-deposit freebie. (You may see the name “Socalulu99” referenced elsewhere on this page or in the app; that’s the referring player’s username, not a separate code — CTWQM is the code to actually enter.)
A responsible-gaming note, since this involves real money: Skillz cash tournaments are skill-based competitions with entry fees, not casino games, but you’re still risking real money and availability varies by state — some states restrict real-money skill-based contests. You should be 18 or older to participate, and it’s worth treating any deposit like the risk it is rather than a guaranteed win. Only deposit what you’re comfortable losing, and check the app’s terms for your state’s eligibility before funding an account.
Frequently Asked Questions
Where do I enter the Skillz promo code?
Open the app, tap the green dollar-sign money icon at the top, choose “Enter Promo Code,” and type CTWQM.
Do I need to deposit money to get the $10 bonus?
Yes, at last check. The bonus is tied to making a real deposit, not just signing up — it’s a match-style incentive, not a free-money offer.
Is Skillz legit — do people actually win real cash?
Yes, Skillz is a real, publicly traded company that’s been operating since 2012 and pays out cash tournament winnings. That said, it’s a competitive, skill-based format — you’re playing against other real players, not guaranteed a payout just for participating.
Is Skillz available in my state?
Real-money tournaments aren’t available everywhere — a handful of states restrict real-money skill-based contests. Check the app’s eligibility screen during sign-up for your state before you deposit.
When was this offer last checked?
