What Happened to OkEx?

OkEx wasn’t shut down as a company — it was renamed. On January 18, 2022, OkEx officially rebranded to OKX, dropping the “E” (for “exchange”) as the company expanded beyond spot and derivatives trading into DeFi, NFTs, and web3 tools. Every OkEx account, balance, and feature carried over to OKX; only the name, domain, and logo changed. We confirmed the old okex.com domain no longer resolves at all, which is the second signal (alongside OKX’s own rebrand announcement) that the old invite code and link are genuinely dead, not just quiet.
