Thredup Review
I love online shopping, especially if the deals are good. So I guess I was probably the pretty obvious choice for doing this Thredup review! Note: I haven’t yet ordered from ThredUp, this is just an overview of the way things run.
Thredup is unique in the secondhand clothing marketplace in that individual users don’t sell items. Rather, Thredup asks you to send them all the items you want to sell, and they will photograph and post them for you. If the value is under $60 of an item, you receive the cash right away. If it’s over $60, you receive cash for it once it sells, minus a commission that Thredup takes.
For me, being the lazy person that I am—this sounds ideal. Both as a buyer and a seller. As a seller, Thredup would send me a kit that I just put all my junk into, and then I ship it back and I don’t have to think about it anymore.
As a potential buyer, I like that all the items are photographed exactly the same way—on a mannequin, high quality, good lighting. I’m never worried I’ll make some crazy risky purchase, hoping that something looks the way I hope it looks.
It couldn’t be easier and more fun. The deals are also great.
