- The sign-up link redirects away from AccountNow entirely. Both accountnow.com and our tracked AccountNow signup link (which carries our promocode=HAPPY10 parameter) now land on Go2Bank.com, Green Dot’s newer banking product, with no mention of AccountNow or a bonus for using it.
- The AccountNow app is gone. It no longer turns up in App Store search results.
What AccountNow Was (For the Record)
AccountNow was a reloadable prepaid Visa debit card — no credit check required, since you were spending your own loaded balance rather than borrowing. You could load funds via direct deposit, cash reload networks, or by having paychecks deposited directly, and use it anywhere Visa debit was accepted. It served the same niche RushCard did: an account for people who wanted a card without a traditional bank account or credit history — the kind of customer Go2Bank and Chime both compete for today.
