What Changed Since 2018
We originally wrote this page when the Sapphire Reserve offered a 50,000-point bonus for $4,000 in spend and carried a $450 annual fee. Chase overhauled the card in late 2024, and as of our July 2026 check against Chase’s own site, here’s what it looks like now: the welcome bonus is 100,000 points for $6,000 in spend within 3 months, the annual fee is $795 ($195 per authorized user), and points redeemed through Chase Travel are worth 1 cent each — so 100,000 points equals roughly $1,000 in Chase Travel value. That’s a meaningfully bigger bonus, but also a much bigger annual commitment than the card used to ask for.
One honesty note: the affiliate link this page has historically used (our tracked Chase link) currently just loops back to this page instead of sending you to a Chase application or offer landing page. We can’t confirm it’s tracking anything right now, so we’re treating this as informational only — use the official Chase link above to see the current offer and apply directly.
Per Chase’s own current Sapphire Reserve page, here’s what the card includes as of this writing:

Is This Card Worth It?
We’re not going to tell you whether to apply — that depends on your travel habits, spending, and credit profile, and it’s a decision worth making with your own numbers, not ours. What we can say: at $795/year, this card only makes sense if you’ll actually use enough of the credits (travel, dining, StubHub, Apple, DashPass, Peloton) to offset the fee, and if you travel enough to value lounge access and the points multipliers. If you’re not sure you’ll use those specific credits, that’s worth weighing before you apply. This is general information, not financial or credit advice — check Chase’s site for full terms, eligibility, and the most current offer before applying.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the bonus still 50,000 points?
No. As of our July 2026 check, Chase’s own site lists the welcome offer as 100,000 points after $6,000 in spend within the first 3 months. Confirm the live figure on Chase’s site before applying, since offers change.
Did the annual fee change too?
Yes. It’s $795 now, up from the $450 this page originally listed, and authorized users are $195 each (up from $75). The fee increase came with a longer list of credits and benefits, listed above.
Does your link still work?
We can’t confirm it does right now — our tracked Chase link currently redirects back to this page instead of a Chase offer page. Use Chase’s own site to see the current offer and apply.
Is this financial advice?
No. This page is informational only. Card terms, bonuses, and fees change, and eligibility depends on your own credit profile — check Chase directly and consider your own finances before applying.
