Ria Money Transfer Review

As I just mentioned, I’m a hardcore Transferwise fan myself. But I thought a Ria Money Transfer review would be good, if only to convince me further that Transferwise is the best (plus they have a coupon here). I never went through with a transfer, but I reviewed all of their business practices and costs.

The unique thing I found about Ria, that Transferwise doesn’t offer, is you can change both your sending and receiving methods. You can send via many different methods depending on your currency—bank transfer, credit card, debit card, etc. And you can pick up also depending on your country—receive a bank transfer, pick up actual cash, and more. It is pretty nuts how many options you have.

Overall I like the concept behind Ria. But the fees are higher than Transferwise, which I didn’t like (see below). But if you’re looking for flexibility in payment and receiving methods, Ria money transfer is the way to go.

So, this is one of those things that you just have to head on over to Ria and calculate yourself, since it varies a ton based on which currencies are involved, what method you are using to send it, and how much money is being sent. From doing a little bit of investigating, it looks like the amount ranges from $0 up to $100. Many currencies have transfer limits—most of them appear to be $3000, so Ria is only for smaller quantities.
