Koala Mattress Discount: What Actually Works Right Now
Heads up: the old $100-off tracking link we used to run (koalaty.co) now dead-ends — the tracker behind it returns a 404. Koala itself is very much alive and trading (it redirects koalamattress.com.au straight to its live Shopify storefront), so this looks like our specific affiliate link going stale rather than anything wrong with the brand. Until we get a working tracked link back, the best current savings path is Koala’s own refer-a-friend program at au.koala.com/pages/refer-a-friend: as of our last check, your friend gets $200 off their first order (minimum $750 purchase), and you get a $100 e-gift card once their order clears the 120-night return window. Koala also runs a 120-night trial and free delivery (exclusions apply) on mattresses sitewide, regardless of the referral program.
Lucky for the CouponSuck team, we had an Aussie in the mix — one who spends a lot of time in Australia, no less. I did this Koala Mattress review through a friend who’d already ordered one. He told me about the experience: it shipped straight to his house and arrived in a genuinely compact box, much like the other mattress-in-a-box companies we’ve reviewed. Cute packaging, from the photos I saw.
He opened it up and let it expand for a few hours. I stayed in his guest room about a month after he first got it, so I got a real trial run of my own.

My overall take was positive. On the negative side: it was firmer than what I’m used to, though it still had a nice bit of softness on top. It retained a little heat, but it was winter when I visited, so that didn’t bother me — it might be a different story in summer. Overall, though, it’s a genuinely great mattress for the price, and I woke up feeling good every morning I stayed there.
Koala Mattress Pricing and Trial
Koala doesn’t publish mattress prices on its homepage — you’ll need to check the product page for your size and model, since Koala now sells several mattress lines (not just one flagship model like it did in 2016). What’s consistent sitewide, per Koala’s own site as of our last check: a 120-night trial, free delivery on mattresses (exclusions apply), and a student discount for eligible shoppers. If you’re in the US, Koala also runs a dedicated koala.com storefront with US pricing and shipping.
Once Again, the Koala Mattress Savings
If you’re comparing options outside Australia and New Zealand, we’ve also reviewed US-focused mattress-in-a-box brands like Avocado and Layla.
