Lyft in Singapore? Read This First (Use Grab Instead)

Why “Lyft Promo Code Singapore” Doesn’t Work the Way You’d Expect

Lyft only operates in the United States and a handful of Canadian cities. It has never launched in Singapore, and there’s no cross-app deal where a Lyft rider can call a Grab car through the Lyft app, or vice versa. That’s the honest answer — we’re correcting it here rather than repeating it, because a lot of old rideshare content from this era (including a previous version of this page) got that wrong.

The confusion likely comes from the fact that Grab and Lyft are sometimes described as regional counterparts — Grab is roughly “the Lyft/Uber of Southeast Asia” — which isn’t the same thing as an actual partnership. They’re separate companies, with separate apps, separate accounts, and no shared credits or codes.

Grab is the dominant ride-hailing app across Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, the Philippines, Myanmar, and Cambodia. Download the Grab app directly from your phone’s app store once you land — it handles rides, food delivery, and more. We don’t have a working affiliate code for Grab (we’ve dug into this on our GrabTaxi promo code page, which covers the same honest correction from the other direction), so check the app itself for any current new-user voucher.
