UZURV the company is alive and, by the numbers, thriving — its driver app was updated this week and its rider app has thousands of current ratings. But it’s a different business than the one this page was written about. Uzurv.com now describes itself as “The Adaptive Transportation Network Company,” offering on-demand paratransit and assisted mobility for “individuals, families, agencies, organizations, non-profits, and communities.” The rider app’s own description confirms it: “UZURV is a rideshare for eligible older adults and people with disabilities… contact your local transit organization for eligibility requirements and availability.” There’s no self-serve signup screen, and neither the site nor the current app listings mention a promo code, invite code, or referral bonus anywhere.

That’s two independent signals pointing the same direction — the site’s own positioning and the app’s own description — so we’re treating the general-public “Favorite Driver” program and its TRYFREE3 invite code as discontinued rather than just slow to update.

The original idea was clever: USURV wasn’t a replacement for Uber or Lyft, it worked on top of them. If you had a driver you liked, you could request them specifically for a future ride through USURV’s “Favorite Driver” program, instead of hoping you got matched with them again by chance. New riders who signed up with an invite code like TRYFREE3 got 3 reservation fees waived (normally about $2.95 each, so roughly a $9 discount) — though the ride itself still cost the normal Uber or Lyft fare.
