What Is CookUnity Today?
CookUnity started as an on-demand, same-day meal delivery service based in New York, cooked to order by local chefs. That’s not how it works anymore. As of this writing, CookUnity ships chef-prepared meals nationwide on a subscription — you pick 4 to 16 meals a week from a rotating menu built by chefs the company describes as Michelin-trained, James Beard winners, and Food Network names, and meals arrive ready to microwave in about two minutes. It’s a different model than our original 2016 review described (on-demand, 30-minute NYC delivery), but the same core idea: restaurant-quality food without cooking it yourself.
Pricing at last check started around $12.59 per meal before any discount, with the per-meal price dropping as you order more meals per week. New customers get a first-week discount — currently 50% off — rather than a flat dollar amount.
