What Happened to Dryve?

Dryve was a Los Angeles-based on-demand service: a concierge would come get your car, take it to get gas, an oil change, a car wash or tires filled, while you stayed home. It ran on its own iPhone app and used referral codes like the ABCD773 code we shared for $20 off. When we checked, the original Dryve app listing on the App Store returned zero results — it’s been pulled entirely — and the domains once tied to the app (dryveapp.com) are now sitting as parked domains listed for sale. That’s a strong signal the service has wound down; we couldn’t find any current sign of it operating.

Worth noting: our original 2016 version of this post also recommended trying “Purple,” a gas-only delivery app, as an alternative to Dryve. Purple is dead too — the site behind that recommendation is now a parked domain — so that old pivot doesn’t work either.
